Are you a kind, enthusiastic, reliable, and capable student who would prefer to invest your time instead of dollars at Yoga Farm? Do you want to deepen your movement practices? Warning: Our work-study program has a tendency to inspire students to become teachers.
What is work-study?
Work-study shifts are typically 5 hours long in exchange for a week of unlimited drop-in classes. The intention of the work-study program is to support an active practice. Work-study students are asked to commit to the position for a minimum of 3 months.
If you are interested in one of our longer courses, in our adult education program ‘The Ways of the Sacred Warrior‘, we would love to meet with you! For the same 5 hour-a-week work shift you may take one of our courses, which typically lasts 2 months.
Work-study duties include cleaning and maintenance of the facilities, gardens, and farm. Work-study students get their hands dirty for the cause so please be prepared to scrub, wash, fold, shovel, sweep often while laughing or having deep and meaningful conversations. Occasionally, a work-study trade will be created as a barter for a specific skill set. So if you are a ninja with social media, graphic design, video editing or something else you think we might need, feel free to make an offer.
